To fully embed lean management across the organization, foster a systems-thinking mindset, and strengthen both the awareness and capabilities of managers, Ban Chao Group convened its inaugural Lean Management Project kick-off meeting on the morning of 14 July, followed by a 6S management workshop in the afternoon. Leaders from the Group, all business divisions and functional centers, implementation committee members, facilitators and project-office staff attended.
Inaugural Lean Management Project Meeting – Setting Targets, Drawing the Reform Blueprint
Vice President Liu Gufeng unveiled the lean-management governance structure and key appointments. Invited advisor Mr. Mei Linlin gave a detailed briefing on the first-phase coaching priorities, the selection of pilot areas and benchmark teams, evaluation criteria, the coaching model and the annual lean awards scheme.
President Liu Guiping stressed that intensifying market competition makes lean management the lever for sustainable growth; it will dismantle operational inefficiencies, optimize resource allocation and sharpen core competitiveness. Launching this project is a strategic response to industry trends and a catalyst for internal transformation; every employee must embrace it with full commitment.
Vice President Liu Gufeng added that departments must adopt a hands-on attitude, focus on priority tasks, pursue continuous improvement and break entrenched industry barriers to seize the initiative.
6S Workshop – Laying the Groundwork for Lean Deployment
Mr. Mei Linlin used theory, live case analysis and on-site demonstrations to explain the logic and practice of 6S. He dissected recurrent issues such as poor sorting and disorderly material placement, showed how visual controls and fixed-location management can standardize the workplace, and emphasized that 6S is more than housekeeping—it cultivates disciplined habits and boosts efficiency, perfectly aligning with lean’s waste-elimination philosophy.
The kick-off meeting and workshop mark Ban Chao Group’s decisive first step in lean reform. With shared understanding and determined execution, the Group will leverage lean management to achieve high-efficiency operations and sustainable quality gains.
